TeleSpan Launches New VoIP Service with Eastwind RIM Offering
TeleSpan Carrier Access (TeleSpan), a provider of domestic and international minutes to wireless and wireline customers, today announced the successful deployment of new VoIP capabilities in its network leveraging Eastwind Communications’ Remote Infrastructure Management (E-RIM) offering. In an effort to take advantage of low cost VoIP transport networks, TeleSpan needed a cost-effective, reliable solution to convert SS7 to SIP at its carrier customer’s location. The E-RIM offering provided TeleSpan with a proven network solution supplied by an experienced operator and paid for on a monthly OpEx basis.
